The Bible books have names that depend on the Bible language. These names differ somewhat between the various translations: NKJV (New King James Version) NIV11 (New International Version 2011) For example, the NKJV (New King James Version) uses Roman numeral numbering: I Samuel, II Samuel, I John, II John, III John Most Bibles use numbering with numerals: 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John To make it easier to enter a Bible reference, it's a good idea to standardize the book names between your different Bibles: Entering a reference : When you have Bibles in different languages, it's even more important to standardize book names. Here's how to standardize the book names for Bible reference entry: 1. Select the Bible: In the central panel, VideoPsalm displays the Bible properties. 2. Select the "Display book names in English" option: This switches to the VideoPsalm language (English) the Bible books displayed in the bottom-left panel. When this option is not selected, the books are displayed as defined inside of your Bible. Note Wheter this option is selected or not, it has no effect on the Bible book names displayed on the presentation screen: Read further below how to change the name of a Bible book, and thus its display on the presentation screen. The Bible reference on the presentation screen continues to be displayed as defined by your Bible, for example in French if it's a French Bible. 3. Repeat points 1 and 2 for all your Bibles. 4. Save your changes: To change the name of a Bible book as it will be displayed on the presentation screen: 1. Select the Bible. 2. In the bottom left-hand panel, click on the book whose name you want to change. In the middle panel, VideoPsalm displays the book properties, including its name and abbreviation. 3. Edit the book name: This name is the one used to display the verse reference on the presentation screen. 4. Proceed in the same way for the other names to be edited. 5. Save your changes. To assign their standard name to all the Bible books at once: If your VideoPsalm is, for example, in English, it internally knows the names of the standard English Bible books. Let's say that your Bible is a French translation. You can replace the French book names with their English standard counterparts at once: 1. Click on the "Replace names" button: VideoPsalm will then replace in one go the book names with those available internally in the VideoPsalm language. 2. Save your changes. Note To revert the Bible book names to their original names (in French in our example), you can either: 1. Redownload the Bible from the VideoPsalm online library. This article is for you. To set your VideoPsalm to display the Bible verses in a single translation, proceed as follows: 1. Open the Bible dropdown: In the dropdown, we see in 1 and 2 that the RVR60 is the currently selected Bible translation. In 3, we see that the DHH and JBS translation are set to be displayed dualy. VideoPsalm 1.27 (beta) cherche à simplifier cela, et applique l'attribut de style au chant, même si vous cliquez sur une strophe. Dans de plus rares cas, vous voudrez changer un attribut du style d'une strophe précise, par exemple son arrière-plan. Dans ce cas, procédez comme suit : 1. Cliquez sur la strophe. VideoPsalm 1.27 sélectionne automatiquement le niveau de style "Chant". C'est la que réside la différence : Les versions antérieures de VideoPsalm sélectionnent automatiquement le niveau de style "Strophe". 2. Dans la barre d'outils en haut, dans l'onglet "Arrière-plan", sélectionnez le niveau de style "Strophe". 3. Dans la galerie des arrière-plans, sélectionnez votre image pour la strophe. Styles en cascade VideoPsalm utilise des styles en "cascade" : Lorsque vous ajustez une propriété du style au niveau "Recueils", elle s'applique à tous les recueils, leurs chants et leurs strophes. De la sorte, vous pouvez configurer globalement (pour tous les recueils) ou individuellement (juste pour une strophe, ou pour tout un chant) la manière dont VideoPsalm affiche les diapositives. Lorsque vous êtes sur le point de changer, disons, l'arrière-plan, vérifiez la section "Style", dans la barre d'outils en haut à gauche. Pour créer un recueil au format VideoPsalm, l'idéal est d'avoir accès au format natif du recueil, par exemple au document Word. Hélas, c'est souvent d'un fichier PDF dont on dispose. Cela requiert davantage de travail. D'un PDF, on peut extraire le texte, mais il sera mélangé aux numéros de pages et autres information d'entêtes et pied de pages. Pour compliquer le tout, les blocs de texte extraits d'un PDF sont parfois mélangés. Par exemple, on obtient la strophe 2 avant la strophe 1, ou toutes sortes d'autres surprises embêtantes. Parfois, ce n'est que lors de la projection, pendant le culte, qu'on se rend compte des erreurs de typographie, orthographe, lettres ou mots manquants ou inversés, etc. Cela demande de l'attention, de la rigueur et un peu de temps, mais cela vaut toujours mieux que de saisir tout le texte des chants à la main. Procédure pour créer un recueil VideoPsalm à partir d'un PDF 1. Utilisez un bon lecteur PDF Par exemple PDF-XChange,(https://pdf-xchange.eu/pdf-xchange-editor/) ou Foxit Reader.(https://www.foxit.com/fr/pdf-reader/) Je vous déconseille d'utiliser Adobe PDF Reader. Aussi étonnant que cela paraisse, Adobe PDF Reader échoue à extraire le texte d'un PDF au-delà d'un certain nombre de pages. Installez de préférence PDF-XChange,(https://pdf-xchange.eu/pdf-xchange-editor/) ou Foxit Reader.(https://www.foxit.com/fr/pdf-reader/) Ces deux-là sont supérieurs en fonctionalités et rapidité à Adobe PDF Reader. 2. Ouvrez le recueil au format PDF dans PDF-XChange. 3. Passez en mode "Sélection de texte" : 4. Sélectionnez tout le texte : Cliquez dans le texte puis faites Ctrl+A. 5. Copiez le texte dans le Presse-Papiers de Windows (Ctrl+C). 6. Collez le texte dans un éditeur de texte (Ctrl+V). Je vous recommande l'excellent NotePad++(https://notepad-plus-plus.org/) N'utilisez pas Word à cette étape. En effet, c'est du texte pur dont vous avez besoin à cette étape. Vous obtenez le texte complet du recueil PDF dans NotePad++, y compris le sommaire, les n° de pages, et d'autres éléments parasites du PDF. C'est maintenant que cela se corse. Il reste à mettre les chants en forme, d'une manière que VideoPsalm peut les comprendre. Alléluia ! Alléluia ! Le n° de chant est un chiffre, par exemple 12 Le n° de strophe peut aussi être un chiffre, par exemple 1, ou V1 pour verset (strophe) 1. Il peut aussi être C, pour refrain/chœur, ou C1. Quand vous placez le texte de la première ligne à la suite du n° de strophe, n'oubliez pas le point, par exemple : V1. Première ligne des paroles. Pour passer au chant suivant, placez au moins deux lignes vides. Attention : Si vous vous trompez, et placez deux lignes vides entre deux strophes, VideoPsalm va commencer un nouveau chant à cet endroit, et ce n'est pas ce que vous voudrez. (Pas de soucis, vous pourrez toujours corriger le fichier texte puis le réimporter). N'attendez pas d'avoir ajusté tous les chants avant de faire un essai d'importation. Cela vous permettra de constater que vous ne faites pas d'erreur répétitive, ou de les corriger avant d'en avoir trop fait ! 7. Importez le fichier texte dans VideoPsalm • Démarrez VideoPsalm. • Barre d'outils en haut -> Onglet "Édition" -> Bouton "Importer" -> Importer un recueil -> En un format populaire -> "Texte (recueil)" -> Suivez les instructions. 8. Vérifiez le résultat de l'importation Corrigez les erreurs qui ne manqueront pas de se produire puis réimportez. Si vous trouvez des erreurs, corrigez les erreurs dans le fichier texte dans NotePad++. Gardez votre NotePad++ ouvert en permanence, avec votre fichier texte, et aussi votre VideoPsalm ouvert. Vous n'arriverez probablement pas à importer de nombreux chants sans plusieurs essais successifs. Même une personne expérimentée va faire des erreurs ici ou là, oublier un saut de ligne, ou mélanger les strophes. C'est un travail de concentration. Corrigez les erreurs de syntaxe dans le fichier texte dans NotePad++, enregistrez les changements, puis basculez sur VideoPsalm. Dans VideoPsalm, dans le panneau des recueils en bas à gauche, supprimez le recueil que vous venez d'importer et qui a des erreurs (raccourci Ctrl+Delete), puis relancez l'assistant d'importation. Pour l'importation, VideoPsalm se souvient des choix que vous aviez fait la première fois. Il suffit de cliquer "Suivant" une dizaine de fois. Note importante Pour importer les chants (et aussi pour l'utilisation normale de VideoPsalm), utilisez la dernière version de VideoPsalm. A VideoPsalm agenda contains all what is necessary to reproduce the same presentation on another PC. Let's say that you have built an agenda on your HOME PC. When you later open it on the CHURCH PC: • New songs are added to your VideoPsalm songbooks. • Existing songs are updated/corrected. • Background images/video are added to your image/video gallery. • Styles are propagated from the agenda to your VideoPsalm styles, at any level: Base, Songbooks, Songbook, Song, Song Verse, etc. • etc. Normally, you will want the CHURCH PC to be the reference for your songs (and styles). You don't want that agendas built by others on their HOME PC modify the CHURCH PC songs. To protect your VideoPsalm songs against changes propagated from agendas, turn on the "Agenda Open" shields: Following shields are available: • A "Text" shield • A "Style" shield The "Text" shield prevents lyrics differences to propagate. For example, your HOME PC has lyrics mistakes that are already corrected in the CHURCH PC. On your CHURCH PC, when the "Text" shield is on, the lyrics mistakes in the agenda won't propagate to the CHURCH PC. This does not apply to any new songs. New songs from the agenda are always added to your VideoPsalm songbooks. The "Style" shield works in a same way as the "Text" shield. Normally, you will want the CHURCH PC to have both "Agenda open" shields ON. When you display Bible verses, VideoPsalm shows the Bible reference in the header: You may wish to adjust the size, position, font, content and other properties of the header: To achieve this result: 1. Display some Bible verses. Any Bible verse will do. You will see the result in the preview panel, at the bottom right. 2. Select the "Bibles" style level: (Normally it is already selected). 3. Open the "Resize rectangle" dialog: 4. Adjust the header panel size and location: VideoPsalm will limit the header text inside the boundaries of the blue header rectangle, so make sure that it is big enough. 5.
