We have been using version 1.26 for several years in a two display configuration. We would like to add a third monitor for streaming. When we installed 1.27Beta from May 13, 2023 the videos no longer showed the image. The audio still played though. We installed version 1.27Beta from August 2023, but the videos still do not appear on the screen. We are using an nVidia GeForce GTX 1660 with version 31.0.15.3623 of the driver. Do we need to use a different driver or change something in VideoPsalm to make see videos?

Hi Adam,
You are using the right version, 1.27 (beta) from August 6. 2023.
Do you have hardware acceleration set?
Hi Adam,
To show the video in the preview area, make sure that the "Hide preview" button is not pressed:
Does this help?
Thank you for your assistance! I tried unchecking the box for video acceleration and rebooting the computer. I then tried checkng the box and rebooting again. I tried updating VLC from version 3.0.8 to 3.0.19. Any other ideas? Thank you again.
Hello Adam, Thank you for the update. Alas, it is unclear why your VideoPsalm fails to display videos. Note maybe that VideoPsalm 1.27 doesn't need VLC to display videos. When you install VideoPsalm 1.27, it contains the video codecs. They are located in your following folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoPsalm\x64\Codecs
I discovered that the problem occurred on a different computer also. One thing they had in common was the content of C:\Users\Public\Documents\VideoPsalm. I renamed this folder, opened VideoPsalm, and videos worked. I closed and reopened the program, but the videos did not show the second time it opened.
I tested with two different computers today. I uninstalled version 1.26, renamed the c:\Users\Public\Documents\VideoPsalm folder, and installed version 1.27. When I opened VideoPsalm, I imported new Bibles and songbooks. I then added a single verse to the agenda and saved it. I closed VideoPsalm and reopened it. When VideoPsalm opened, I clicked Background and selected a video which now displayed..
Later on, I realized that the videos would show if I created a new agenda. Is there a way to convert agendas made with version 1.26 to work with version 1.27 Beta?
Could you send me an agenda that VideoPsalm fails to open correctly in VideoPsalm 1.27? Agendas are normally compatible between versions.
Let's find the solution to this problem.
Here is a Google Drive link to a file that was created using 1.26 that won't show video in version 1.27. I tried to attach the file to the forum here, but the smallest file I could make was barely under the 50 megabyte limit and produced an error. Thank you for your help in this. I really appreciate your time and talents! God bless you.
