Recently, we've been trying a different approach. We're utilizing VideoPsalm's "Stage View Display" feature, which creates a separate window and shows the same text as seen on the main screen. The key difference is that this secondary window has a solid color background.
This allows us to enhance our live stream by using this new window in OBS Studio, enabling us to seamlessly integrate lower thirds into our broadcasts. Moreover, this setup opens up the possibility of utilizing OBS's chroma key feature to superimpose transparent text onto our live footage for added visual appeal. To ensure readability, we limit the text on screen to just two lines at any given moment. This arrangement allows us to present the lyrics as a lower third graphic.
The picture below shows what it would look like.
Currently, we use a transparent black box around the text to enhance readability. However, we are actively searching for a more suitable font that would enable us to use transparent text without the need for the background box.
Could you supply a video showing the steps you took to do this? I am new to doing the streaming program for our church so to setup the OBS to accept the videopsalm stage output would be a big help.
