I have the same question. I loaded VideoPsalm on a HP desktop that has a I3 processor, 4 gig memory, Windows 10 and it runs very slow. We now loaded Windows 7 on the machine and it works great. The problem is that Windows 7 is no longer supported and no one is interested in helping when there is a problem. I added another screen and had problems with the new screen which we use for Audacity to record the sermon. Windows 10 has a problem that it is too busy tracking what is going on even when it is standing idle. The other problem is that Windows 10 needs an internet connection and that is why VideoPsalm takes a long time to load at startup because it is looking for an internet connection. I personally use Linux after using Windows 10 for about a month and it is going to be unsupported soon. I can get a new version of Linux when I get new hardware but I do not need to get a machine with 16 gig Ram. My machines have 4 gig memory and work well with good performance.
There is alas no project at the moment to port VideoPsalm on Linux in the near future, as this would imply a lot of programming work.
Hopefully Microsoft or another company will enable the easy porting of a Windows application to Linux.
We are monitoring this and have hopes that this will happen sometimes in the future.
