Thank you for your feedback. You are totally right and your feature makes a lot of sense.
I added your feature to the list of things to do, however I don't know when it will be implemented.
The reason why VideoPsalm has style "levels" is simply because it enables the operator to adjust his slides either globally, without sacrificing the fine tuning at the slide level.
I would be intrested in know what you find to be too complicated? Personally I like the VideoPsalms method. I only quickly tested OpenLp for a few hours probably 10 years ago at this point so I'm not sure what the workflow was like over there but I would like to hear
1. Applying 'style' by level is inconvenient. For example, if you apply it all at once at level 1 and apply it individually at the next level, the application of level 1 becomes meaningless, and in the case of the Bible, if you want to delete level 2, you have to find and change the Bible one by one, which is difficult.
2. If you apply a different style to each Bible verse, each verse has its own attribute value, so it is inconvenient because the entire level is not applied.
3. In 'Openlp', you can create multiple styles arbitrarily, put the list you want to send, whether it is hymns or Bibles, in the worship order, and apply the default style (the 'default style' set by the user is automatically applied), or you can apply a different style to each worship list.
3-1. In this case, all selected Bibles or hymns are applied as the default 'default style', so they are consistent, and other styles can be viewed and selected from the 'style list', making it convenient and easy to understand the situation.
3-2. The only flaw with 'Openlp' is that the menu to choose from when creating a style is not visible at a glance and progresses step by step.
Thank you for your feature request about being able to set a worship list specific style that overrides all the other styles at any level.
This makes a lot of sense and I added your feature to the list of things to do.
Depending on popular request, it will be implemented in a future version.
You mentioned that 'Style' levels are inconvenient.
While it certainly requires to get used to VideoPsalm style levels, they have their good sides, like for example the ability to set a specific background to a song verse, and change the text color, font, etc., either globally for a whole song, or for a specific song verse, or for a whole Bible.
You mentioned that Bible style levels applied to Bible verses are inconvenientWhile it is possible to apply a specific style level to a Bible verse, it is indeed not the common thing to do. Most of the time, you will want to display the Bible verses with the same style. This is why, in VideoPsalm 1.27, the style level remains on the "Bibles" style level. In earlier VideoPsalm versions, the style level would automatically switch to whichever style level the operator would click. This was a source of many questions and inquiries in the support center.Note maybe that it is possible to remove all above style attributes in one click:
3. Thank you for your suggestion of being able to create predefined styles and apply them to worship list items. I added this feature to the list of things to do.
