I can't find a previous request for this feature.
VideoPsalm takes a little while to start up, but there is no feedback between clicking the shortcut to start VideoPsalm until the splash screen is shown some while later.
This results in some of our users being uncertain that their click on the shortcut has worked, and so they click the shortcut again, and start more instances of VideoPsalm.
The feature request is to show the splash screen immediately to provide the feedback that VideoPsalm has been started.
Thanks for your feature request.

For now, the recommended way to start VideoPsalm is this:
Right click on the VideoPsalm icon.
Select "Open".
This way there is no doubt about "Did I double-click correctly?
